• CAT's MMC-S interfaces to controllers of gensets, solar and energy storage inverters; Genset EMCP software enhancements

• CAT's MMC-S improvements, and oversight during NPI deployment

• CAT's next generation microgrid controllers, ECS-400 architecture, specifications, and oversight of control/software development

• CAT's concepts for optimization of energy/power dispatch and battery electric vehicles and static/dynamic charging systems at a work site

• Back up UPS power concepts and leadership during technology development phase

• Variable speed genset concepts/configurations, and internal demonstrations with a C-32 and C-15 genset, with different power electronics developments

• Concepts for fuel cell/battery hybrid back up power for back up and power quality/UPS, DOE proposal support for data center back up power, leading to award and demonstration

Tech oversight for several development phases:

• CAT's 1 MW energy storage system and its inverter system concepts, NPI issues tracking/resolution oversight

People/program/tech leadership for several development phases:

• Fronius essential back up load unit development, design improvements, design partner collaboration & manufacturing selection

• Fronius inverter software concept/specification for interface with whole home back up unit & internal/external team collaborations

• Fronius Gen24 solar and hybrid inverter software development, validation and certification for IEEE1547/UL1741SB, UL3141 and Sunspec, leading to products' market release in North America

• Fronius USA R&D team and investment management for embedded software, cloud computing software, lab testing group, system/HW engineering, program management, compliance, as well as external partner teams for software and hardware

Training/competency development:

• Internal electrification learning series and external custom courses coordination, including teaching, covering microgrids, gensets, renewables, energy storage, and components/controls to 1200+ CAT employees

• Creation of talent pools in electrification by expertise area, across CAT enterprise
